Insert the micro SD card in the Hikvision camera
You can use a good micro SD card for security cameras to ensure that the camera can record properly without losing data.
Just insert the SD card into the camera slot, and you are good to go.
Don’t forget to format the SD card before using it.
To format a Hikvision micro SD card, go to Configuration > > Storage > Storage Management, select the card on the right side and click the “Format” button. Check the progress status and wait for it to finish.
Set up a process for Hikvision IP camera to save images on a MicroSD card.
First, you will need to log in to your camera using your user credentials which include your username and password. It is recommended to use Internet Explorer as the web browser or Microsoft Edge in compatibility mode.
Now navigate to the Configuration, select Schedule Settings and turn on the entire week to Continuous and Save before you close it. The Continuous mode is colored blue for reference.
Furthermore, you will have to go into Capture Parameters and enable the Timing Snapshot checkbox. You can then set intervals through the Interval Box to set how far apart the intervals for the snapshots captured will be.
In the example, the camera saves a JPEG format picture on the MicroSD card every second. These pictures can then be downloaded later by going into Pictures, selecting Continuous, and opening Search. Then pick the files you wish to download and click Download.
