Axis camera Red and Orange flashing LED (solved)

Axis camera Red and Orange flashing LED

This article explains how to solve the Axis camera red and orange flashing LED.

I have an Axis P3225-V MK II in my lab, and I suddenly had this problem.

The picture below shows the LED flashing red and orange (amber).

Yeah, I could fix the problem in less than 5 minutes.

The Red/Orange flashing LED on Axis cameras and other devices indicates that the camera has power. Still, no data, and this usually happens due to a faulty UTP (network) cable or a bad connection to the camera or PoE switch.

The quick solution is to replace the cable, try using a different port in the switch, or combine both procedures.

The cable replacement usually fixes the problem; you just need to make sure you have a good working UTP cable and purchase a new one if necessary.

You can find good UTP pacth cables on Amazon.

I recorded a quick video to show the solution to this problem.
