Zmodo EZCam Review (inexpensive wireless camera)

Are you looking for an inexpensive wireless camera ?

In this article you read the Zmodo EZCam review and decide if this is the best model for the price. It's a $25 wireless security camera, so the price is good... 

With 720p HD resolution, this small camera doesn't have a lot of features but it's good enough to get the job done. If you just want to have a low-cost camera that is easy to install and can record video in the cloud that's the way to go.

720p HD resolution: This is enough to have a good-quality image, especially for an indoor installation. High resolution basically  allows you to have more details in the image, which is very useful when are zooming in.

10 to 25 FPS : FPS stands for Frames Per Second, also known as frame rate. The higher it is, the smooth image you can get without those image jumping effect. The EZcam can work with 10 to 25 fps that is good enough for most cases.

ZModo cloud service : The camera can record in the cloud by sending small clips that are created based on motion events. They are stored for free for 36 hours and if the user want to record for a longer period of time, a recording plan is available.

2-way audio : Yes, you can talk to somebody using the 2-way audio feature available in the EZcam, there's a built-in microphone and a speaker that allows the communication. it's even possible to adjust the audio volume.

Wide-Angle view : The Ezcam has a lens that provides 115º wide-angle view that is enough to monitor a room with practically no blind spot as long as the camera is installed in a corner.

Motion detection: The camera can detect people and objects that are moving and trigger the recording based on this event. This model brings the smart detection feature to reduce false alerts from object with repetitive movements.

Night vision: There's a night-vision sensor in the Ezcam with adjustable sensitivity that allows to obtain a better image during the night-time. The Infrared LEDs are automatically turned on when there's low light in the environment.

Remote access:  With the Zmodo app for Android or iOS smartphones it's possible to remotely monitor the camera and playback the recorded videos.

Works with Alexa:  By using the new Zmodo app, it's possible to integrate the camera to work with Amazon Alexa and use voice command to display the video.

It's a very affordable wireless camera and the resolution is enough to have good image quality. The 2-way audio feature is very helpful for communication and the night vision is also something positive in this model.

Sometimes the 720p resolution can be a limitation, if you are using the camera in a large environment, the 1080p would be more helpful to zoom in when necessary.

The camera is not designed to work outdoor, so you can't use it that way.

There's no way to record locally if the Internet link is down.

Overall, the Zmodo Ezcam 720p wireless cam is a good product for that price tag.
