Google Assistant built-in
With a simple "Hey Google"you can have your camera answer any questions you have, which is a great add on to the camera itself.
This can be a useful feature for the kids, or you when you need the answer to something and you don't have the time to pull out your phone.
Processing power
The Nest Cam IQ indoors is quite powerful as it has a 6- core processor. An image processor is used for image processing in cameras.

Whether it is a digital camera, mobile phones or other devices. Image processors are used to increasing speed and efficiency.
Person alerts
The Nest IQ does recognize a person compared to an object, but it will also warn you if it recognizes a new face it has not seen before.
It then sends you an alert through your phone. Which can be great for identifying and catching any burglars, or to know if your kids brought any of their friends over while you were out of town.
However, you should be aware you do need to purchase the Nest Aware feature for monthly monitoring to have this feature that recognizes strangers.
Talk and listen
With two way HD audio, not only can you scare off intruders but you can also have a conversation with your family.
Which could be a great feature to be able to say "hi" to your kids when they get home, while you are stuck at work.
There are 3 total microphones, and it does come equipped with noise and echo suppression to have better audio on both sides of the camera.
Apart from that, it is a very potent audio speaker as Nest claims it is "7x more powerful" which anyone you are talking to will appreciate being able to hear.
Supersight
With the so names "supersight" Nest says you can zoom in and still have clear and detailed picture.
Which is definitively a feature you want to be able to identify anyone or anything.
Nest makes this possible because his camera comes with a 4K sensor and with HDR, apart from that it also has intelligent imaging.
When you mix all of these you end up having Supersight. "It’s a sharp new way to look after home!" Claims Nest.
Nest aware
When purchased, Nest aware offers the possibility of recognizing whether you know people or they are strangers, which is a pretty nice add on.
As for the prices they offer, they have different plans set at different prices, that is up to you as how many days you want the recordings to stay stored for.
Regardless of the plan or cost, they all allow you to have the familiar face recognition, intelligent alerts, activity zones and clips, and time-lapses.
The first plan includes 5 days of continuous recording, the cost is $5 a month, however, if you pay for the year, Nest will give you a discount of $10.
So, instead of paying $60 you will pay $50 for the year. While getting all the other amenities that come with the plan.
The second plan gives you a 10-day history of continuous recordings which costs $10 a month.
However, if you pay for the year it will cost you $100 a year.
This gives you the chance to save $20if you pay yearly, which is also a smart idea as you do not need to worry about any monthly payments.
If you want the biggest plan, Nest has a 30-day video history that continuously records video. It is the pricier plan, coming in at $30 a month.
It costs $300 a year instead of $360, saving you $60 a year, which is pretty good for a yearly plan, considering what it includes.
Identification
Apart from being able to recognize stranger and differentiate people from objects. With the Nest Aware upgrade, you get other features.
The first one is person alerts, meaning it will alert you every time someone is present in the room your camera is in.
The second feature is the activity zones. Know when someone is entering the door, or most importantly guard the cookie jar.
Apart from being able to save all the moments you want, Nest also lets you download and share clips with anyone.
Lastly, you can also make mini time-lapses so you can make a whole party in a one minute video!
Alerts
The Nest camera listens in for any crashes, or loud sounds. Since you cannot always be watching the live video, it warns you if it picks up any suspicious sounds.
If you miss an alert for whatever reason, you can see photos from the last 3 hours of activity in the app to find out what is going on.
Nest thoroughly thought about what to include in their camera. This feature is extremely useful especially since it could mean a burglar is breaking in or your child fell.
If it does pick up a boom, crash or the sound of something breaking it will send you an email or alert with an image of the event, so you can quickly know where it is.
This is quick, easy and efficient. This way you know what is going on and you only need a few seconds to figure it out so it will not take tie out of your day.
